Nellis Air Force Base Las Vegas Nevada USANellis Air Force Base is a United States Air Force installation in southern Nevada (Las Vegas area) with military schools and more squadrons than any other USAF base. Nellis AFB covers about 11,300 acres (4,600 ha) in the northeast corner of the Las Vegas Valley, an alluvial basin in the Basin and Range Province.
